YNDM Coaches

Don Coleman has been studying taiji since 1971, and teaching since 1987. He has studied Guang Ping, Wu, Sun, and Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan styles. He currently teaches Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan, Kun Lun & Wu Dang Sword, Neigong, Intermed/Adv Forms, Applications & Intermed/Adv Tuishou. He is also co-owner of Yen-nien Daoguan, Madison. email

Kathryn Coleman has studied taiji since 1980 including the practices of empty hand sets, fan, sword, tuishou and neigong. She currently teaches Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan Fan and co-teaches Basic, and Intermediate/Advanced Tuishou. She is also co-owner and administrator of Yen-nien Daoguan, Madison. email

Sue Berthouex has been studying taiji since 1994 including Thirteen Postures, Sections 1, 2, 3 tuishou, applications, and fan. She currently co-teaches Basic Tuishou.

Bob Constantine first began to study T’ai Chi (taiji) in Oak Park, Il at the T’ai Chi Center in ‘73. His graduation was approved by T’ai Chi Master Waysun Liao in ‘76. He continued his studies until ‘81 under Domingo Tui, Master Liao’s senior student. Bob is teaching 13 Postures at YNDM. email

Sarah Nguyen has been a student at Yen-nien Daoguan, Madison since 2003 where she continues to practice YMT forms, tuishou, and weapons as well as Baguazhang. Sarah is an Occupational Therapist with a special interest in helping people with physical limitations to benefit from YMT.email

Son Nguyen has been studying Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan since 2001, including Thirteen Postures, Sections 1, 2, 3, sword, pole, and tuishou. He currently teaches Section One and Wu Dang Sword beginning class at YNDM. He has taught two years UW-Madison PEOPLE Program.email

Terri Pellitteri has been studying Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan since 1994, including forms, tuishou, neigong, applications, taiji pole, fan and both sword forms. She has taught taiji forms, tuishou and sword to adults/youth for several years years. She is currently teaching at YNDM, GHC Complementary Medicine and with Rape Crisis Center, and has taught three years with UW PEOPLE Program. email

James Sauer is both a student and coach with YNDM. His training in the Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan lineage has primarily occurred in Madison and Taiwan. He has studied Thirteen Postures and all three sections of the form. He is currently a student in Kun Lun & Wu Dang Sword. He teaches Taiji Pole, Beginning Applications and is a regular participant in Intermed/Advanced Tuishou. James also offers Baguazhang in the Daoguan’s curriculum.
